Simon was born in Colchester in the UK and has played soccer since he was 5 years old.

As a teenager, he had trials for West Ham and Colchester Utd and at 18, he played in New Jersey, USA on a 2 year soccer scholarship where the team won a National Title. After that, Simon played for several senior men’s teams in the USA and UK and still plays occasionally in the over 35’s competition at Musgrave, Gold Coast.

Simon has a wealth of coaching experience from the UK, USA and here in Australia and his qualifications include the soccer C License. He currently coaches the Coomera Colts U15 Div 1 Team in the Gold Coast Youth League. His next aim is to study for his AFC B Licence.

Simon and his children all support Liverpool FC but unfortunately his partner is a Man Utd fan! Simon sees his role at Viva Soccer as a great way to help promote 'the beautiful world game' here 'Down under!'.

Jamie Rogers - Gold Coast South

Jamie has been playing soccer since the age of 5 and used to carry his Dad's kit bag into stadiums for Socceroo and National League games. He's been heavily involved in playing and coaching for the past 37 years and loves putting a smile on children's faces when he's coaching.

He has an FFA Youth Licence and in his youth played in the Victorian Premier League Seniors for Brunswick Juventus, Mooroolbark, Ringwood and Croydon. He still likes to keep his hand in and currently plays in the over 35's league at Musgrave on the Gold Coast.

Originally from the UK, he has lived in Australia for most of his life and at the age of 16, represented South Australia in the National Titles. He also played in a semi-professional capacity at Cumberland Utd in the Mens 1st Division.

Nick is interested in the development of young players, having coached youth soccer teams for several years, and sees Viva Soccer as the way of making this happen.
